Erin Howard

Erin Howard is a musician, conductor, composer, and educator originally from St. Louis, MO. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in music education and a Master of Arts in music education from the University of Missouri and the University of Washington, respectively. She is also certified to teach K-12 instrumental music in Washington and Missouri. Erin taught middle school and high school band in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Seattle area schools from 2009-2018. While teaching Erin has continued to perform as a trumpeter. She has experience performing and teaching in a variety of styles of music.
Currently, Erin serves as the Assistant Director of the Rainbow City Concert Band and the Director of the Queen City Corps (Seattle Reign FC's official Pep Band), both affiliate ensembles of Rainbow City Performing Arts. Erin is also the founder and trumpeter of the Give Back Brass Band. GB3 is a Seattle-based community outreach project committed to bringing people together through music, and making music accessible for all populations. We'll use this time to get a feel for the relationship and see if the instructor-student fit is right for you. If it isn't you can ask for another teacher and that first lesson is free also. Your first lesson with each teacher are free until you find one you like.
